On May 22, 2017 at the National Institute of Health of Ministry of Health of RA named after the academician Avdalbekyan was held summary meeting of «Changes are possible. Act now “project.

The project was funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in 2016 within the TB REP regional project.

‘’Positive People Armenian Network’’ Soc. NGO’s staff (Project Implementing Entities) presented in detail each stage of the project, quantitative research, results, registered obstacles and continuity opportunities. More>>>

On June 29-30, 2017 representatives of “Positive People Armenian Network” Soc. NGO (president Anahit Harutyunyan and PR Manager Anna Galstyan) participated in 2 days lasting meetings which took place in Kishinev, Moldova. The meetings were held within the frameworks of the TB Rep Regional Program.

The key delivery of  TB REP project is People-Centered Model of TB Care. Within the Event Blueprint for EECA Countries launched for representatives of 11 TB REP countries.
Its goal was to shift care closer to people and communities. This entails moved towards ambulatory treatment and care, strengthening services involving primary care, and better integrating care across various providers, levels and settings within health systems.

Armenian delegation Representatives (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, “Positive People Armenian Network” social NGO, National Center for Tuberculosis Control) participated in the regional EECA program on strengthening the TB systems in the terms of TB and MDR-TB.

On July 22-23, 2017 ‘’ Changes are possible. Act now’’ workshops were held in Aghveran with the initiation of the ‘’Positive People Armenian Network’’ social NGO,  financed by TB-REP Regional Program and National Center for Tuberculosis Control of the Ministry of Health of RA and the support of World Health Organization (WHO) .

The project started in 2016 and the activities are different over the years, based on the definition of goals and outcomes.

In 2016, in the frames of this project activities were aimed at early detection of tuberculosis (TB) among the population, elimination of stigma and discrimination against the patients, raising awareness on the issue in different rural communities, implementation of qualitative surveys among TB cabinets and TB patients, round-table discussions with partner non-governmental organizations, as well as researches on national and international reports and literature. More>>>

On December 21st, 2017 within the regular sitting of the Ethics committee of RA held at the National AIDS Center of RA was discussed the elaborated documents package of Need assessment (questionnaire) of TB people which was presented by the “Positive People Armenian Network” Social NGO.

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of “Positive People Armenian Network” Social NGO Alvina Alagulyan presented the changes in the package of documents and answered the questions of committee members. After the some remarks made by the members of the Ethics Committee documentation package was approved.

On 28 of December 2017 ‘’Positive People Armenian Network’’ Soc. NGO(PPAN) organized Focus-Group meeting with people who have or had TB in the past. The initiative of having TB Patients network became from ‘’Changes are Possible. Act Now’’ Project’s activities. The first meeting pursuited to touch several aspects of TB sphere which will empower advocacy activism in general.

Fist part of the meeting was presenting role and significance of organizations operating in the field of TB: international structures, networks, communities, local NGOs. PPAN’s representatives’ enrollment, new members’ attraction and guiding also were on the table of meeting. This part was coached by Anahit Harutyunyan(PPAN’s President) and Arman Avchyan(Peer consular). More>>>

On January 15, 2018, the second TB advocation network gathering took place. Anahit Harutyunyan (President of the NGO and Project Director of  “Changes are possible. Act Now ” Project) had speech on already implemented activities and future plans within the network.

Among other activists Mariam Davtyan (Founder of “TB and me” NGO) was also present at this meeting. The main purpose of the meeting was to develop the targeted capacity of the TB community on “Needs Assessment of TB patients” research activities. Under the direction of A. Alagulyan (NGO’s Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist) all the questions of the questionnaire were discussed in details, the content and objective aspects of each issue explained and suggestions of the participants were included in the questionnaires as supplements.

On February 12, 2018 a meeting with more than 20 TB beneficiaries took place at Conference Hall of PPAN NGO. Within the meeting they proceed with the successive steps of decoding​​ activism as a tool for raising awareness idea. The selection of the stakeholders was conducted during the needs assessment survey which was done among 240 TB patients. During the meeting the history of our NGO, advocacy activities, working schedules, already registered successes and further plans were presented in detail.
