Treatment access of TB co-infections in RA

On November 28th of 2019 at NTC of RA was organized meeting with 23 TB patients who were on stationary and ambulatory treatment at that moment. There were patients from different regions of Armenia as well. During the meeting they talked about HIV, TB, hepatitis C as well as timely diagnosis and treatment adherence. Diagnostic and treatment of HIV/TB are available and free of charge in RA but many questions have been arisen in particular regarding access to hepatitis C treatment. The NGO staff recorded all issues raised by the TB patients after it was decided to meet with the Chief  Hepatologist of RA and ask her the worrying questions. There were also patients who expressed a desire to have personal contacts with NGO staff and to clarify some issues separately. During the small reception that marked the end of the meeting there was an opportunity to establish a warm acquaintance and chat.

P.S.

On December 18, 2019 the NGO staff had meeting with the Chief Hepatologist of the Republic of Armenia and had the opportunity to receive answers to questions about access to hepatitis C diagnosis and treatment in the Republic of Armenia.
