Start again

I was born in Yerevan and spent 8 years in prison, so because of that I did not serve in army. I have been punished with the utmost rigor of the law. I returned home and realized that none of my relatives want to know me…

I rented an apartment by the collected money and tried to find a job. I had a bad feeling, I was weak, very tired. I was diagnosed with tuberculosis. I started to receive stationary treatment at the NTC of RA. Two months later I was discharged, but had to visit the nearest polyclinic every day and receive medicines in front of a doctor up to the end of treatment cycle. My leaving conditions were awful and I had to leave the place of residence, which was the reason of treatment interruption. I remained in such situation 4 years. In addition, during an accident all my identification documents were burned and I was left in an extremely vulnerable situation.

Recently, I watched a social video on TV where was telling that Tuberculosis is curable and preventable disease and there is a NGO where you can get information and support on diagnosis and treatment of TB. There was hot line number of PPAN NGO and I called them. Shortly I informed them that I haven’t had a personal identification card and I wanted to test my TB status. Next day the NGO employee visited me, we went to the NTC together and I took all the necessary tests.

The disease hadn’t been retreated, it was confirmed once again, but with a completely new treatment regimens because of long pause.

Right now, I am in the phase of stationary treatment, can say that I am in daily contact with the NGO staff. One thing that want to voice out is that my passport issues will be solved with their support as well as residence availability.

It turned out that broadcast of one PSA can have such a HEALTHY influence.
