PLHIV support doctors

It should be recalled, that AIDS center specialists consider this decision groundless, and argue that the risks were not properly assessed and the opinion of the experts was not taken into account.

Today, PLHIV society also stood next to the medical staff. For the first time in Armenia, PLHIV decided to participate in an action in support of their doctors. PLHIV were in masks, they were silent, for fear of revealing confidentiality, they had posters in their hands with simple slogans: “Why to break what works,” “All opinions should be taken into account,” “Don’t risk our lives,” “Listen to us!”. No one of the government stepped outside to meet them. The minister told reporters that he had no intention to talk to those who declared the ultimatum. It should also be reminded that AIDS Center specialists have been trying to reach out the officials for more than a year, but their opinion has not been taken into account, they were simply neglected. Specialists made this choice to be heard, but alas… Instead of talking to them, the ministry decided to prove that there are many such specialists like them, they began to hire students – epidemiologists and also offer high salaries to individual employees.
